Transferring an international domain to us
Last updated:
To transfer an international domain name (such as .com, .net, or .org) to Nublue, follow these step-by-step instructions:
Prepare Domain at Current Registrar
Log in to the current registrar account to ensure the domain is ready for transfer:
- Unlock the Domain: Disable the domain transfer lock or Registrar Lock.
- Disable Privacy Protection: Turn off WHOIS privacy protection so the auth code email and contact verification can be processed.
- Obtain EPP/Auth Code: Request or copy the EPP/Auth code from the domain settings.
- Verify Admin Email: Confirm that the administrative email address listed on the domain is accessible, as confirmation links may be sent there.
To verify: Check that the domain status shows "Unlocked" and you have the correct EPP/Auth code saved.
Submit Transfer Request in Client Panel
Log in to your Nublue Billing Panel and submit the transfer request:
- Navigate to Domains > Transfer Domains to Us.
- Enter your domain name in the provided field along with your EPP / Auth code
- Click Add to Cart and complete the checkout process to initiate the transfer order.
Approve Transfer & Finalize
Once the order is placed, the transfer process begins through Enom:
- Check your admin email for any transfer authorization request emails and click the confirmation link if prompted.
- The transfer will take between 5 to 7 days to complete automatically once approved.
Important Transfer Restrictions
Domains cannot be transferred if they were registered or previously transferred within the last 60 days, or if they are expired/in a redemption grace period.
