Setting up a WordPress site

Installation of WordPress.

​WordPress is the most commonly used website platform on the web. It’s very flexible, provides a huge amount of customisation and can be perfect for a brochure website or blog.

Step 1: Creating your subscription

Log in to Plesk -> Go to Subscriptions -> Click Add Subscription (or select an existing one)

Step 2: Choose WordPress

On the “Choose a way of creating a website” screen:

Select WordPress -> Click Continue

This will start the WordPress installer using Plesk’s built-in tools

Step 3: Configure WordPress installation

You will be prompted to configure:

  • Installation path (usually /httpdocs)
  • Administrator username
  • Administrator password
  • Administrator email - please make sure you update this to your email address
  • Website title
  • Language

Step 4: Installation completes

Once complete, Plesk will confirm that WordPress has been installed successfully. You can now:

Log in to WordPress, start working on your website and managing your setup
